Autism is a psychiatric disorder that becomes apparent during a child's first two years of life. An affected child will have difficulty communicating with others, be introverted and have limited interests. Autism affects three times as many boys as girls, it's cause is unknown, although some believe it to be hereditary. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, there are over half a million people in the USA who are suffering from autism. Early diagnosis and therapy can greatly improve the child's communication and language skills, however there is no known cure for the disorder...
