Peru is the twentieth largest country in the world, it has an area of 1,285,220km² and supports more than 27 million people. Situated in western South America, Peru faces the Pacific Ocean, it's coastline extending from Ecuador in the north to Chile in the south. Bolivia forms the south eastern border, Brazil is to the east, Colombia to the north and northeast.
